Smart Harness Compliance Detection in Real Time.

VCT EdgeGuard is a smart safety harness concept designed to monitor proper harness usage in real time using Ultra-Wideband (UWB) and inertial measurement technologies. It detects unsafe wearing practices, issues immediate on-site alerts through the VCT InSite helmet, and sends summarized harness status to the platform via LoRa.

Sensor-to-sensor distances and IMU data reconstruct the harness shape in 3D.

The current harness configuration is compared against known correct and incorrect wearing patterns.

If an unsafe condition is detected, the VCT InSite helmet issues an immediate local alert.
